Celebrate Marriage Dinner

The 2012 Celebrate Marriage Fundraising Dinner, including Silent and Live Auctions, will be held on Friday, February 3 at Martins Westminster. Online sponsorship and registration information is here or you can download your registration form and mail it in. Deadline: Jan. 20, 2012.

Get your paddles ready to bid on these outstanding live auction items: A Myrtle Beach Vacation Destination; Be a guest D-Jay on WTTR Radio (2 hours); and a Residential Spring Cleaning. Dozens of fantastic silent auction items include: Handyman special; Williamsburg and Deep Creek Get-away; Maryland Basketball Tickets, Tickets for 2 at the Kennedy Center and Dinner at an area restaurant, Bavarian Inn package, and much more.  Back by popular demand is our balloon raffle which will include an ipad 2!

Program: This is our 6th Annual Dinner and promises to be very special. While you browse our auction tables and enjoy scrumptious hors d'oeuvres, you'll be treated to the talents of local harpist Ms. Emily White, www.pluckystrings.com, who will be playing a beautiful selection of classical and inspirational music.

Our keynote for the evening is Dr John Van Epp, founder of Love Thinks, which is JohnVanEppdedicated to building and strengthening relationships before and after marriage. With wit and wisdom, John will share from over 25 years of marriage and counseling experience. Whether you’re single or married, John is the master of helping people to use both their hearts and minds when it comes to love. He is also author of “How To Avoid Falling In Love with a Jerk/Jerkette" (you can watch a brief video on YouTube here) and "Love Links.”

2011 Community Impact Award - This year's winners are marriage educators and trainers, Greg and Terri Miller of Westminster. Previous winners include: Marriage Advocates Doug and Barbara Stiegler, founders of The Maryland Family Protection Lobby, The Carroll County Times for an outstanding series or articles on fatherhood and marriage, and Carroll County Public Schools Health Teachers for demonstrating outstanding efforts in incorporating WAIT Training (Why Am I Tempted?) into the health curriculum.
